Patricia Rouse, Dean of Students/Resource

Greetings,

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the faculty, students and parents of the Fort Braden School and community. This year, I will serve in many capacities. This is my first year as a Dean and I am very excited about the opportunity. I will also be working with teachers, students, and administration during the day to assist in our dedication to academic excellence. I am entering my 12th year in education and prior to that I worked as a case worker. I have two wonderful children (One attending Fort Braden) and the other attends Leon High School. It is my belief that all students can learn when given the resources and support necessary. I look forward to a wonderful year and outstanding results.

Florida Assessment for Instruction in Reading (F.A.I.R.)

The Florida Department of Education has made new Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading available to K- 12 public schools free of charge. Developed by the Florida Center for Reading Research in collaboration with Just Read, Florida!, this new assessment system will provide teachers screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring information that is essential to guiding instruction.
